TRAINING RELEASE


VACCINATION & HEALTH CHECK REQUIREMENTS

In order for your dog to participate in class the following conditions must be met:

[Dogs Under 4 Months of Age]

  • Dog must have been in your care for 7 days before participating in class.

  • Proof of vaccination for age-appropriate booster shots must be provided before hand.

  • Proof of a fecal test resulting negative for the presence of ova/parasites must be provided before hand.

[Dogs Older than 4 Months of Age]

  • Dog must have been in your care for 7 days before participating in class.

  • Proof of current vaccination for Rabies, Bordetella & Distemper must be provided before hand.

Exceptions

Exceptions to these rules must be approved and may require a special note from your veterinarian.

RESERVING A SPOT

We do not accept partial payments for class. Classes must be paid in full at sign-up in order to reserve a spot. Only payment in full for class can reserve your spot in a future class or training service.

Refund Policy If You Wish to Drop Out of Class

Urban Pooch Training & Fitness Center does not offer any refunds for training services. All sales are final.

POLICY ON TARDINESS & MAKE-UP CLASSES

  • 60-Minute Group Classes – Students who arrive 15-minutes or more after the scheduled start time of class will not be permitted to enter class.

  • 45-Minute Group Classes – Students who arrive 10-minutes or more after the scheduled start time of class will not be permitted to enter class.

  • 60-Minute Private Lessons – Students who arrive 15-minutes or more after the scheduled start time of their appointment will be considered a “no-show,” in which case their payment for said appointment will be forfeited to Urban Pooch and the lesson cancelled.

  • 30-Minute Private Lessons – Students who arrive 10-minutes or more after the scheduled start time of their appointment will be considered a “no-show,” in which case their payment for said appointment will be forfeited to Urban Pooch and the lesson cancelled.

Why do we have a policy on tardiness?

We have found from experience that allowing students in past the times listed above creates an unnecessary interruption that detracts from the overall quality of class. This is true for a few reasons:

  1. The dogs that are already in class have settled-in and become accustomed to their classmates. Introducing a new dog can cause them to lose focus and undermine the learning they’ve done so far.

  2. It causes the instructor to pause their teaching to focus on one student and bring them up to speed.

  3. While the instructor focuses on this one student, the other students are forced to wait when their lesson could have been moving forward and thus progressing them towards their training goals.

Make-Up Classes

WE DO NOT OFFER MAKE-UP CLASSES FOR THE FOLLOWING CLASSES: CANINE COMPASS, AGILITY, NOSE WORK & DISC.

Make-up classes are a 30-minute one-on-one appointment with a trainer to catch you up on the curriculum you missed by not attending a given class session. The fee for a make-up session is $30 as we are scheduling the trainer outside of class time. We do our best to fit-in these appointments, but they are on a first-come-first-service basis and are subject to the trainer’s availability and the operational hours of the facility.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY

I understand that although all client dogs are domesticated and under constant supervision, an injury to my dog can occur, in which event I release Urban Pooch, Inc. and its owners and staff of any and all liability, financial and otherwise, which arise in any way from services and/or products provided or as a consequence of my association with Urban Pooch. I waive any and all claims, actions or demands of any nature, foreseen and unforeseen, that I may have against Urban Pooch relating to the care, control, health and/or safety of my dog arising during drop-off, pick-up, transport and stay at the facility. This also includes, but is not limited to, participation in both our Boarding Services and Lodge & Learn Program in which my canine will be under the direct care of an Urban Pooch Dog Trainer.

IMAGE RELEASE

I hereby grant Urban Pooch Training & Fitness Center permission to use both my likeness and the likeness of my dog in photographs, video recordings and/or electronic images in any and all of its publications, including website entries and social media posts, without payment or any other consideration. I understand and agree that these materials will become the property of Urban Pooch Inc. and will not be returned. Additionally, I waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of my image. I hereby hold harmless and release and forever discharge the organization from all claims, demands, and causes of action which I, my heirs, representatives, executors, administrators, or any other persons acting on my behalf or on behalf of my estate have or may have by reason of this authorization.
